Biography
Dr. Peng holds a Ph.D. (1993) in Atmospheric Science from the University of Miami, a M.S. (1984) in Atmospheric Science from the Lanzhou Institute of Plateau Atmospheric Physics, China, and B.S. degree (1982) in Atmospheric Science from University of Lanzhou, China .

Research Interests

 Dr. Peng specializes in applying numerical models to both atmospheric and oceanic systems. She is currently focusing on examining CFC-11 spreading patterns in the North Atlantic Ocean with archived model data from a 1-degree, 43-year MICOM run. Her other reseach interests include surface wind analysis (regional and global scale), oceanic and biological response to winds, and dynamics of extratropical cyclogenesis and sea/land breezes.
